Project Accounts staff members process partial lapse requests for capital projects. Partial lapse requests can be submitted for a capital project that is:
- In substantial completion status in FAMIS, and
- Has money available in its free balance that is not scheduled to be expensed.
A partial lapse can be requested for up to 80% of the free balance to be lapsed back to the original source of funds.
How to Request a Partial Lapse
In order to request a partial lapse, complete the top and partial lapse section of the funding request form and submit the form to BFS Project Accounts via email.
